Election Petitions for City of Harrington Election
Mayor and Council Districts 1 & 3
The City of Harrington will be conducting an election on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm for the following:
Mayor – Term to Expire June 4, 2029
Council Member District 1 – Term to Expire June 4, 2028
Council Member District 3 – Term to Expire June 4, 2028
The City of Harrington election petitions for the positions of Mayor and Council Member for Districts 1 & 3 are available to be picked up at City Hall, 106 Dorman Street, Harrington, Delaware between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and are also available on the City’s website http://harrington.delaware.gov. Candidates must live in the City of Harrington in the district for which they are running, be at least 18 years old, be qualified to vote, and have no felony convictions. A current background check must be provided. Petitions must be returned to City Hall, 106 Dorman Street, no later than 4:00 pm, April 1, 2025, to City Hall or it cannot be accepted.
The City of Harrington is now accepting request for Absentee Ballots for the May 6, 2025 election. Upon receipt of a properly completed Affidavit, an Absentee Ballot will be provided as soon as possible. Affidavits will be available at City Hall until May 5, 2025 at 12:00pm. Request for Absentee Ballots to be mailed must be received prior to April 25, 2025. Any questions can be directed to Clerk of Council Emma Werner at (302) 398-3530.
