Election Results

The City of Harrington will be holding an election on May 1, 2018 to select Council Members for Districts 2 and 4. Polls will be open 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Price Community Center, 103 Dorman Street.

Absentee Voting

Public Notice for Absentee Ballot 2018

The City of Harrington is now accepting requests for absentee ballots. Please complete the Affidavit for Absentee Ballot and return it to the Clerk of Council at City Hall, 106 Dorman Street. Affidavits are also available in City Hall. Upon receipt of a properly completed Affidavit for Absentee Ballot, an Absentee Ballot will be provided as soon as possible. Affidavits will be available until April 30, 2018 at 12:00 pm. Requests for Absentee Ballots to be mailed must be received prior to April 24, 2018. Absentee Ballots may be contested on May 1, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the Price Community Center, 103 Dorman Street.

Public Notice for Election Petitions 2018

To become a candidate for Council Member for District 2 or 4, please complete the Nomination by Petition Candidate Filing Form 2018 and return it to the Clerk of Council at City Hall (106 Dorman Street) by 4:30 pm on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. See the Candidate Information Letter 2018 for candidate qualifications and requirements.

Public Notice to Register to Vote 2018

To vote in the City of Harrington Election for Districts 2 and 4 Council seats, you must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, a resident of the City of Harrington, a registered voter with the Kent County Department of Elections, and live in the district for which you are voting. April 20, 2018 is the deadline to register to vote.


Public Notice of Voting 2018

No voting is required for District 2. Only one candidate filed for office, Amy L. Minner.

An election will be held for the purpose of electing a Council Member for District 4. The candidates are as follows:
