PUBLIC NOTICE: Board of Adjustment Public Hearing November 27

The City of Harrington Board of Adjustment will hold a Public Hearing on the following application on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 6:30 pm at Harrington City Hall, 106 Dorman Street, Harrington, Delaware.

Application for Three (3) Variances for Harrington Gardens Apartments on Milford-Harrington Highway

An application by Harry R. Roop for the following three (3) variances:

1) To reduce the number of required vehicular parking spaces for 296 dwelling units from the required 592 to 557 as required by §440-213.
2) To reduce the minimum size of vehicular parking spaces from 10’ x 20’ to 9’ x 18’ as required by §440-216A(1).
3) To reduce the minimum side yard setback for apartment buildings from adjacent property lines from 60 feet to 25 feet as set forth in the Harrington City Code.

The application, supportive information, and exhibit plans are available for inspection at City Hall. The property is located on Milford-Harrington Highway, Harrington, DE, identified as Kent County Tax Map 6-09-180.00-01-04.00-00001 and is zoned R-4.

Anyone who wishes to speak regarding this request should be present at the meeting or may submit written comments by 12 noon on November 27, 2017 to the Clerk of Council, 106 Dorman Street, Harrington, DE 19952.
