Rick Waterhouse Presents “The Build It Better Shop”

Tuesday, July 18th @ 2:00 pm—This musical vignette incorporates music, science, puppets, books, and even a broken amusement park merry-go-round. The audience will be transformed into engineers as they work with the owner of a Fix-it Shop, played by Rick Waterhouse, to fix various and sundry broken items that are brought to the shop by an assortment of characters that are often more interesting than the broken items they bring for repair. The story line of “The Build It Better Shop” is built around several children’s books and focuses on science concepts and principles. Music is woven throughout the show to make for a fun time that moves the audience from the arts to science without missing a beat! This show is approximately fifty minutes in length. Support for this program is made possible by collaboration between the Delaware Division of the Arts and the Delaware Division of Libraries.  (Funding is provided in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Library Services and Technology Act administered by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.)
